Bareilly: In the 'Bareilly District Chess Championship- 21' organized by Bareilly Chess Association in collaboration with UP Chess Sports Association, Som was awarded a medal and a letter of appreciation for coming first in the under-13 age group. He participated in this chase championship held on Sunday, 21 March 2021 in the premises of King Chess Academy located in Hobby Town (Rajendra Nagar), Bareilly. Som is currently a 10^th grade student at Bedi International School, Bareilly.

This time, after tasting defeat on getting 3 out of 5 points in the open category, Om had to be satisfied with a letter of appreciation. Om is currently a 12^th standard student at Bedi International School, Bareilly.
