
New Delhi, April 2, 2026: Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Ministry of Culture, New Delhi, and Centre of Excellence – Indian Knowledge System (CoE–IKS) at D Y Patil International University (DYPIU), Pune, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today in a formal ceremony held at IGNCA.
The MoU was formally signed by Dr Sachchidanand Joshi, Hon’ble Member Secretary, IGNCA, and Prof. Manish Bhalla, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, DYPIU, in the presence of Prof. Ramesh C. Gaur, Dean, IGNCA, and Prof. Madhavi Deshpande, Dean, FoN-E, DYPIU, while Prof. Abnish Singh Chauhan, Founding Director, Centre of Excellence – Indian Knowledge System (CoE–IKS), DYPIU, joined the ceremony virtually.
The ceremony was attended in person by senior officials of IGNCA, while representatives and senior officials, including Dr Beeran Moidin B M, Registrar; Mr. Vikrama Barara, Controller of Examination; and Dr. Manik Rajopadhye from DYPIU, joined the proceedings in virtual mode.
The MoU seeks to promote collaborative research, academic exchange, and the preservation, promotion, and dissemination of Indian Knowledge Systems. It envisages joint initiatives in interdisciplinary studies, documentation, and capacity building in the domains of Indian art, culture, and traditional knowledge.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards strengthening academic partnerships and advancing interdisciplinary engagement in Indian Knowledge Systems, reinforcing a shared commitment to preserving and promoting India’s rich cultural and intellectual heritage.
